DAYTONA BEACH, FL – This weekend, Ben Kennedy Racing heads to Five Flags Speedway, where Daniel Dye will compete in his second-career ARCA Menards East Series event. Ben Kennedy Racing is no stranger to Victory Lane at Five Flags, as team owner Ben Kennedy earned a win from the pole in the 2013 ARCA East race at the Pensacola track.

Dye, a Daytona Beach, Florida native, has made quite a few laps at Five Flags Speedway, competing at the track in five events in 2019 and finishing sixth in last year’s Allen Turner Pro Late Model Series points. He has competed in four races at the track so far in 2020.

The 16-year-old’s best finish at Five Flags Speedway is fourth, which he earned earlier this season in the Pro Late Model event in June.

Dye most recently competed at Bristol Motor Speedway’s U.S. Short Track Nationals in the Ben Kennedy Racing Super Late Model. After being forced into a backup car due to a late-practice crash, Dye came from 14th to impressively finish fourth.

I’m really looking forward to this weekend, especially because we tested our Ben Kennedy Racing Chevrolet there earlier this year and we were pretty good. Our car is all freshened up after a trip to Richard Childress Racing, and we’re all excited to see how the it performs. We have a ton of laps at Five Flags, and I think my experience at the track will help us obtain a good finish on Saturday night.”
