Stephen Nasse Wins a Physical Pro Late Model Race at SpeedFest

CORDELE, GA – It was far from easy, but Stephen Nasse took his first win of the year with a Pro Late Model triumph in the JEGS CRA All-Stars Tour-sanctioned SpeedFest at Watermelon Capital Speedway.

After dominating much of the 125-lap event, Nasse had his hands full hanging onto the lead at the end thanks to a flurry of late-race cautions and extensive door-banging pressure from Willie Allen. The final restart was a green-white-checker affair with Allen lined up on the outside at the drop of the green flag. The two drivers made contact again, and Allen was eventually sent up the racing surface and into the marbles. Nasse was then able to drive under and away to Victory Lane. Despite the extensive contact, both drivers expressed mutual respect after the race.

Allen took second, while Steve Dorer came home in the third spot after recovering from an early spin. Dawson Fletcher finished fourth after contending for the lead late in the race, while Evan Shotko rounded out the top five.
