Moving from its original date and venue, the popular auto racing event traditionally held the first Sunday of May at Madison International Speedway will feature a starting field of 25 ‘Stars and Cars’ Labor Day Saturday night at DRP. The Midwest Truck Series as well as the 602 Outlaw Bodied Late Models will join in the festivities with the first race set to begin at 6pm.

Race fans will be able to see a variety of tire and pit strategies play out throughout the 200 lap contest. “The Dells has become our traditional Midwest Tour Labor Day Weekend race, after talking to Jerry Auby and hearing about the improvements they were making at the Dells, it became apparent that we could make Labor Day Saturday Night the Joe Shear Classic.” Stated ARCA Midwest Tour promoter Gregg McKarns. “200 laps, honoring one of the Midwest’s best. I’m glad we were able to find a way to have this event that means so much to so many.”
