Midwest Ace Cole Williams Masters Irwindale to Score Wild Pro Late Model All-Star Showdown Win

IRWINDALE, CA – Indiana racer Cole Williams scored one of the biggest victories of his career in California when he won the Pro Late Model portion of the All-Star Showdown at Irwindale Speedway after a controversial finish.

With two laps remaining in the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour-sanctioned 100-lap event, Williams and Jeremy Doss entered Turn One side-by-side for the lead. Williams held the inside line, but was forced to slow and move up the track in Turn One to avoid contact with the slowed car of Kyle Gottula. In doing so, Williams made contact with Doss, who spun. The race unexpectedly stayed green and Williams claimed the $10,000 win, while fellow Kulwicki Driver Development alum Doss was relegated to a seventh-place result.
