KAUKAUNA, WI – The southern United States knew that Bubba Pollard was a special racer, over the past several years short track fans from coast to coast and in Canada now know the same. This Tuesday Night August 4, Bubba Pollard who has become America’s Favorite Short Track Driver will battle the likes of NASCAR Cup Champion Kyle Busch, defending race winner Ty Majeski and Tour and WIR Champion Casey Johnson to add the Gandrud Auto Group 250 to his growing list of accomplishments. Pollard will make his first career appearance at Wisconsin International Raceway for the ARCA Midwest Tour special event.

The shortened season has been good to Pollard, clicking off a huge win at Jennerstown (PA) Speedway in a ARCA CRA Super Series/CARS Tour co-sanctioned event at the end of July on the heels of his 26th Southern Super Series win and another healthy payday at Five Flags (FL) Speedway in June. The 2014 SSS Champion added a 27th series victory in July at Montgomery (AL) Motor Speedway. His last start on the ARCA Midwest Tour, that too was a win, capturing the checkered flag at the Joe Shear Classic at Madison (WI) International Speedway in May of 2019 to go along with his Slinger Nationals victory in 2017.

The first Tuesday in August has often brought the best short track racing talent to Kaukauna to try their hand at 250 laps, the 2020 edition appears to be a field for the ages. Major west coast wins at the Evergreen (WA) Speedway and Kern County (CA) Raceway Park, victories in the All-American 400 at Nashville (TN) Fairgrounds Speedway on in the Oxford 250 at Oxford (ME) Plains Speedway and back to back wins in the Canadian Short Track Nationals at Jukasa (ONT) Motor Speedway are all counted in Pollard’s over 120 career feature wins. Tuesday night he looks to add his name alongside Midwest Racing Royalty by winning on the First Tuesday in August just as Martin, Sauter, Trickle, Miller, Shear, Hansen and Carlson have done.

Advance discount tickets for the Gandrud Auto Group 250 are $20 and can be purchased online at www.midwesttour.racing through August 3. Tickets will also be available on race day at the gate for $25. Spectator gates open at 4pm, qualifying will begin at 5pm with the first race at 7pm during the Tuesday Night August 4 Special Event at Wisconsin International Raceway.

A 28 car field is scheduled to start ‘Wisconsin’s Richest One Day Race’ which pays $10,000 to the winner of the 250 lap event and $1,200 to start. Drivers from ten states and Canada are expected to attempt to make the starting grid. The Midwest Truck Series will join the ARCA Midwest Tour with the trucks contesting a 35 lap feature event.
