ANTIGONISH, NS, CA – Prince Edward Island’s Kent Vincent will celebrate his 30th consecutive year in stock car racing at the conclusion of the Maritime Pro Stock Tour’s season finale in Riverside Nova Scotia this Saturday night.

Vincent is a 2-time winner of the prestigious IWK 250 at this racetrack and will look to end the MPST shortened season on a high note. “The team’s plan was to do a neat throwback paint scheme in 2020, we did a cool fan interaction poll in the off season of some of the more popular paint schemes we have ran over the past 3 decades, however with COVID we had to put that on hold” explained Vincent, “It will be definitely something we will do next year”.

Vincent ended last season as the series “Most Favorite Driver” a vote cast by is fans and he won 85% of the total vote cast.

Vincent was awarded with the Tour’s first and only Iron Man Award in July 2015 as being the only driver to compete in all Maritime Pro Stock Tour races since its inception in 2001 without ever missing an event. Vincent followed in the footsteps of his father Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame inductee Alan Vincent and began racing in 1990 which he was awarded “Rookie of the Year”. Kent would later go on to win several late model championships at his home track of Oysterbed Speedway before moving to MASCAR in 2000, now known as the Maritime Pro Stock Tour where again he was named “Rookie of the Year”

Since that time Vincent has been awarded the prestigious “Most Sportsman Like Driver” a record 10 times and named as the “Fan Favorite” a record 5 times.

Saturday’s Atlantic Cat 150 will mark Vincent’s 236th consecutive start in the series, he is the only driver to have never missed a sanctioned event in the past 20 years. Vincent’s dedication has left him with six career victories, and he sits near the top of the standings for all-time top-tens, top-fives and podium finishes.

“We couldn’t do what we are doing without the support of our families and our partners and our crew” expressed Vincent.
